Dad was selfless person and passed unexpectly without any life insurance. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Roddell worked with Dopaco in Kinston for a number of years. He enjoyed his career, and the folks he worked with. He was a loving and compassionate person, always willing to help someone in need. He had a heart of gold but was also hard-headed. He loved eating at Kings and McCalls, as well as eating watermelon and tomatoes. He enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach with his family, spoiling Stacy, watching wrestling, and taking naps. His favorite color was blue and he loved Duke Basketball. He would scream at the top of his lungs at the refs as well as cheer them on.
He was preceded in death by his wife and sweetheart of 30 years, Donna Marie Taylor Boyette; parents, Woodrow Wilson Boyette, Sr. and Alma Louise Barnes Jones; parents-in-law, Johnny Ray and Joyce Yvonne Holloman Taylor; and brothers-in-law, Scott Clark and Earl Casteen.
Roddell is survived by his daughter, Stacy Marie Boyette Harrell and husband Matthew; sister, Shelby Clark; brother, Woodrow Wilson Boyette, II and wife Teresa; aunt, Carrie Casteen; brother-in-law, Johnny Ray Taylor, Jr. and wife Shirley; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
