Scott graduated from Rensselaer Central High School with the Class of 1985 and then obtained his Associate’s Degree for Auto Diesel Technician from Northwestern Business College Technical Center in Lima, OH. He was a diesel mechanic by trade and also spent time as a volunteer firefighter.

Scott was an avid outdoorsman. He was a free loving spirit and lived life at full speed. He holds a school record with the RCHS 1600 meter relay team. Scott enjoyed making pottery in his spare time. Whether it was a diesel engine or electrical, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. He also participated in FFA, 4-H, wrestling, and football. His orneriness and smile will be missed!

Scott is survived by his children, Brandon Loughry of Remington, IN, Alicia (Andy) Burton and Brynn Berges, both of Rensselaer, IN; grandchildren, Delilah, Braydon, Sebastian, Mason, Kayleigh, Ryder, Quynn, and Reece; siblings, Nadine (Brian) Gantt, Renee (Gary) Braasch, both of Rensselaer, IN, Frank (Trisha) Zickmund, of Windfall, IN, and Donald (Rebecca) Zickmund of Oxford, IN; previous spouses, Sherri Zickmund and Robyn Malinowski; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces/nephews.
