Julio Juarez 88 of Booker was born August 12, 1929 in Luling, Texas to Santiago, and Delores Juarez.


Julio married his “Chula” Martina Jimenez January 26, 1958; they made their home in Booker in 1978.

 Julio was a truck driver for many years, outside of work he loved to travel, but it was his wife and his family that brought him the most enjoyment in life. Julio will be remembered for his funny faces, outgoing charter and his singing.

Julio died on Tuesday December 26 in Perryton; Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday December 30 at 10:30 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Father Lupe Mayorga as Celebrant; Vigil will be Thursday December 28 at 6:30 pm in St. Peter’s and Rosary will be said Friday December 29 at 6:30 pm in St. Peter’s Catholic Church; Interment will be Heart Cemetery under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service.

Preceding Julio in death; Son Joe Juarez; Grandsons Sakoda Juarez and Sheldon Flores; his parents; and sisters Mary Gurrea, Victoria Herrera, and Virginia Hernandez.

Survivors include: his wife Matina of the home; son Adrian Juarez of Booker; daughters Melinda Juarez and boyfriend Nick James of Booker, and Edna Bailey and husband Jason of Kingwood, TX; Brother Raul Juarez of San Angelo; Sisters Consuelo Juarez (Chelina) and Dora Zamora; Grandchildren Zachary Juarez, Nicole Juarez, Seabrook Juarez, Kari Uder, Sadie Juarez, Amber Davis, Sellecca Juarez, Savoy Flores, Sheadon Flores, Elizabeth Santoyo, Taylor Bailey, and Hope James; Great Grandchildren Kolbe, Kylee, Khloe, Estabon, Ethan, Evan, Kayley, Kenzie, Keeley, Kaden, Kennedy, Rayven, Rylan, Annelieze, Anthony, Jairo, and Mia.
