James Roy Workman, age 59, McAlester, OK resident, a lifelong Boggy Depot, Atoka County resident, was born on Wednesday, December 20, 1961, to Curtis Eugene and Mildred Louella (Mason) Workman, at Atoka, OK. James passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Oklahoma City, OK.
He graduated from Tushka High School in 1980, went on to attend Kiamichi Vo-Tech where he took shop class. James was a security guard for Oklahoma Dept. of Corrections at Mack Alford. He married Goldie Marie (Stevens) in 1981at Tushka, OK. James was a member of Boggy Depot Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, traveling and seeing the country.
James is survived by the mother of his children, Marie (Stevens) Ford of Bentonville, AR; children, Brad Workman of McAlester, OK, Curtis Workman of Bentonville, AR, Jason Mullens of Bentonville, AR, Josh Mullens and wife Brandi of Springdale, AR; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Powell and husband Robert of Butler, OK, Linda Workman of Boggy Depot, OK, Jeanie Sedarafi of Madill, OK, Susan Stuckey and husband Billy of Oakland, OK; brothers, Frank Workman and wife Brenda of Atoka, OK, Bobby Workman of Lewisville, TX, Dale Workman and wife Teresa if Tushka, OK; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Eugene and Mildred Louella (Mason) Workman; brother, Billy Workman.
