It comes with great sadness to announce that Clarence T. Poole, age 95, of Norwalk, went beyond the pearl gate and into the presence of our Lord and Savior. He passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Admiral’s Point in Huron. We need $1300 to provide him with a proper farewell and proceed with the funeral arrangements. This will help pay for the cost of a cremation, St. Paul Cemetery, an urn vault, a priest, and an obituary. Please kindly share this on social media or in an email, so we can try to reach our minimum goal. He will be laid to rest next to his loving wife, Mary. He was a God-fearing man, a beloved father of two boys, Roderick and Kim Poole, five grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, a husband, and an Army veteran. He was drafted into the US Army in 1950, where he was a Sergeant First Class serving in Kojedo Island in Korea, guarding prisoners. He then served on the front line for six months in Seoul, Korea, before being discharged in 1956. Throughout the years, he worked at Shellar Globe (Mayflower), was a funeral assistant and greeter at the former Kubach-Smith Funeral Homes and Evans Funeral Home in Norwalk. You may remember him from greeting you with a smile at K-Mart or Rural King, or from helping you with your groceries at Millers (Gardeners) grocery store. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church, the Norwalk Lions Club, and the Knights of Columbus Council 626. I am sure he's singing and dancing with his parents, sisters, brothers, and his loving wife! Until we see you again, take a deep breath, and enjoy the love and beauty of heaven. UPDATE:Evans Funeral Home will hold a celebration of life Monday September 11, 2023 11am until the time of service at 1pm.Burial with military honors will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.Evans Funeral Home 314 E.
