Bessie Irene Liles Calder, aged 76, of Coffeeville, MS, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, April 28, 2024. She was born on January 8, 1948, in Coffeeville, MS, to the late Ben Liles Sr. and Mary Grace Gore Liles. She spent her formative years in Coffeeville, Mississippi, where she received her education at Coffeeville Schools. Bessie later married Robert Glenn Calder on May 6, 1966. Throughout her life, she worked in various factories in and around Yalobusha County. Bessie's warm and loving spirit was a beacon of kindness in her community. Her dedication to her church, faith, and savior Jesus Christ was evident in all aspects of her life. Her passion for gardening and caring for animals brought her immense joy and fulfillment. The memories of her unwavering love and compassion will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Bessie Irene Calder will be deeply missed, but her memory will endure eternally.

Visitation is planned for Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Elam Baptist Church, Coffeeville, MS from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Services will be Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Elam Baptist Church at 12:00 PM with a previous hour of visitation from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Elam Cemetery in Coffeeville, MS.

Bessie is survived by her children Bessie Lynn Dunn (Larry) of Houston, MS, Robert Glenn Calder Jr. (Charlie Ann) of Coffeeville, MS, and Russell Sidney Calder(Akesha) of Coffeeville, MS. Grandchildren Larry Dunn Jr. (Kassi) of Houston, MS, Daniel DUnn (Victoria) of Houston, MS, Tamnin Dunn of Tupelo, MS, Connor Calder, Ryliegh Calder and Shawn Calder all of Coffeeville, MS; two great-grandchildren Rhett Dunn and Emerson Dunn; and special family and friends Lee & Connie Church

Along with her parents, Bessie is preceded in death by her husband Robert Glenn Calder Sr., her brother Ben liles Jr.; and two great-grandchildren Jacob and Oaklen Dunn.
