Vaughn E. Mettler
8/17/1950 - 2/25/2023
Vaughn E. Mettler, 72, Peru, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the Waters of Peru, following a long battle with cardiovascular disease. He had battled cancer long before that, having been in remission the past 12 years. But this time, that great big, loveable heart of his finally wore out.

If you had the luxury of meeting him, you were his friend. He adopted everyone he met and was loved by all. There wasn't a mean bone in his body.
Vaughn would often say, "Keep the smiles coming." Another phrase he quoted frequently was "The Lord knew what was happening better than any of us." He put his trust in the Lord which gives his family great comfort knowing where he is now. What can we do to show our love and appreciation for this man? What can we do to show his family how much we care? Yes, you can send a card or go to the expenses for flowers or trinkets - but right now, the biggest help you could give would be a love gift to help them with his funeral expenses. That can be easily done by clinking on the link below to donate online. 100% of your donation goes directly to Fisher Funeral Chapel to be applied to his final expenses. Any money received over the targeted amount will be used to purchase a headstone.
