Gerald Joseph Holmes
10/17/1986 - 4/2/2024
My Brother Gerald was an Amazing Brother. He passed away at the age of 37. Gerald was an Avid sports player. He was great at Basketball and Football. He was a straight A student in Highschool. He was invited to play Basketball overseas. He was not able to accept the invitation due to our Mothers passing. He inspired my daughter. Both Graduated from College with with help of my Brother, he would send them money for their College expenses . He has two Nephews that he assisted in raising, He would coach both with Basketball an d Football. Gerald would also assist in helping those in need in St.Charles Parish, by providing food, clothing and rides. He was a great Inspiration to many. He was very supportive of his family. My brother has a 13 year old daughter he has left behind, who is not taking his loss well. They were very close. He was a Great Father. Gerald was an amazing cook. He opened a small deli type restaurant last year in the state of Florida. A great memory of my brother is when he surprised his daughter and took her to Disney Land. The smile on her face, was priceless. I have another memory. Every fourth of July, Gerald and our other Sister, Lavette would meet at our parents house. I had lit a firecracker and through it up in the air, it landed in Gerald's shoes. He kept running, hopping and screaming. That became a memory and family laugh time. Donations to fund my Brother's funeral would be greatly appreciated because as a family we would like to make sure he receives a proper Burial. His Heart Attack was unexpected. We are in dire need of Assistance to pay tribute to our loving brother who has helped so many. Thank you for your Consideration .

Debra Jane Smith
5/4/1960 - 3/10/2024
Debi was a mother of 3 daughters, a grandmother to10, and great grandmother of 1. Our mother was known for her green thumb and love for gardening as well as her passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles. Mother spent many years riding with BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) and often would reminisce sharing her memories of time spent with loving friends she rode with who quickly became her family. Unfortunately, she herself became the victim of a domestic violence incident that resulted in severe brain trauma and left her with late onset dementia. Our mother was a headstrong, passionate, and loving woman who held on as long as she could. On March 10th she gained her wings and made her final ride to be with our Lord. She did her best to prepare for her leaving us; however, none of us were aware that she had paid on her life insurance for 21 months and the company will not pay out until the policy was paid for 24 months. We are graciously asking for any assistance that our family and friends would be able to give, anything at all would be GREATLY appreciated so that we may lay our mother to rest. All funds donated go directly to the funeral home for her services. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!

Peggy Sue Rice
8/1/1968 - 3/6/2024
Peggy Sue Brown-Rice, the 55-year-old wife of Robert Brown, the mother of three sons, and a proud grandmother passed away on March 6. On November 27th, 2023, a biopsy showed an isolated cancer, that could be removed. Peggy and Robert anxiously awaited appointments, oncology consultations, and multiple ex-rays and scans, preparing themselves for the ordeal of surgeries and treatments, praying for a surgeon to take her case. Meanwhile, the rare cancer aggressively attacked, causing unbearable pain, and eventually she lost the use of her legs. When she was taken to the hospital on March 4th, x-rays showed the cancer had invaded her lungs. It was the end of all hope. The next day, she was taken by ambulance to the home of her son, and in less than 24 hours Peggy took her last breath. This family had no provisions for funeral expenses, and will sincerely appreciate any contribition. Please share.
